Ram Teertha

Ram Teertha is a famous pilgrim spot in Gokarna in Uttara Kannada District, where Ram, Sita, and Lakshman are said to have visited after leaving Lanka. It is also believed that Lord Ram and his brother Bharata performed penance here. Nearby on the hill lies a beautiful temple which overlooks the sea at this place.

Gokarna is 60 km from the south of Karwar. It is well connected to other cities and towns by rail and road. The Konkan Railway passes close to Gokarna and stops at Gokarna Road. There are many buses which ply between Gokarna and the station in time to connect with the trains.
