Rakh is on the Chamba-Rashil trekking route, in Chamba District. Tipri is around 8 km west and Drakund is 8 km south. The district headquarters, Chamba, is 8 km west.

Bhuri Singh Museum, Champavati Temple, Akhand Chandi Palace and Lakshmi Narayan Temple can be visited while in Rakh.
