Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, established on October 1, 1964, is currently the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in the state of
Rajasthan. It strives to provide an efficient, adequate, economic and properly coordinated system of transport in the state while simultaneously maintaining high standards in terms of passenger comfort and safety, environment conservation and operational efficiency. RSRTC has its headquarters at
Jaipur.
From a modest beginning with 421 buses, the corporation has, over the years, grown to become the sixth largest public sector road transport corporation in India. RSRTC currently operates out of 49 depots spread across various cities in the state. It runs daily services connecting major cities and towns and to the remotest corners of Rajasthan. The corporation also operates regular schedules to the neighboring states of Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
