Rajamala is a hill station located about 15 km from
Munnar in
Idukki District. This place is 2695 m above sea level. The major attraction here is the Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary. It is the home for the
Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragas hylocres), the Eravikulam - Rajamala region is now home to half the world population of this animal. Rajamala is rich in natural beauty which makes it a choice tourist destination.
