Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum is situated in a quaint Rajasthani-style building. This museum houses the collection of the late Dinkar Kelkar, a dedicated art lover. Thirty-six sections of this museum are used to display a plethora of antiques, carved palace doors, pottery, a priceless collection of lamps and musical instruments of the Mughal and Maratha periods. The museum also holds the Chitrakathi painting of Maharashtra. The leather puppet traditions of Karanataka and Andhra Pradesh are reflected in these Chitrakathi paintings.
The museum is open on all days from 8:30 to 17:30 hrs except on government holidays.
