Raj Ghat

Raj Ghat, a simple square platform of black marble marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Situated on the banks of the Yamuna River, Raj Ghat stands with an eternal flame and an inscription of Gandhiji's last words: 'Hey Ram'. A ceremony organized on each Friday, the day Gandhiji was assassinated, is an important function held here.

Gandhi Memorial Museum and Gandhi Balidansthal are located near Raj Ghat. Raj Ghat is to the south of Red Fort.
