Railway Staff College is one among five centralized training institutes of the
Indian Railways. It conducts training courses for officers of all disciplines and all grades from probationers to general managers. The duration of the courses varies from one week to eight weeks. Railway officers of some Afro-Asian countries also come here for training.
The courses offered are management development programmes, advanced management programmes, functional related courses, and information technology courses. The training methods include classroom lectures, case studies, group discussions, syndicate exercises, role playing, computer based business games and simulation.
