Raichur Fort

Raichur Fort is a massive hill fort situated on the top of the hills that bounds Raichur. It was built in 1294 by the Kakatiyas.

The low circuit walls are double in row. The inner walls are made of huge blocks of stone without using cement.

Kannada inscriptions can be found inside the fort. The tomb of Pir Sailani Sahid, a Muslim saint, is here.
