Rahimatpur is located in
Satara District of
Maharashtra. It is about 15 km north-east of
Satara, the district headquarters. The town was a revenue post of the Adilshahi Sultanate during the 17th century.
Rahimatpur Railway Station is on the Satara - Miraj rail route. Pune Lohegaon Airport is the nearest airport.
