Rahas Dance




Rahas is a modern folk dance of Chhattisgarh and is predominantly performed in Dhamtari District. The theme is centered on the immortal love story of Lord Krishna and Radha.

The men, performing this dance, wear traditional headgears decorated with feathers. During the dance they beat on log-shaped drums.

It is mostly performed during festivals, especially during night.
