Raga Research Centre is a music academy located at
Alwarpet, in
Chennai. Established in 1996, it specializes in research on various aspects of Indian
Ragas. The centre also research about the therapeutic potentials of ragas with the help of musicians, doctors and psychiatrists to solve the problems such as insomnia, high and low blood pressure, schizophrenia and epilepsy.
Raga Research Centre also organizes lecture demonstrations to explain the unusual powers of various ragas.
