Radha-Madhava Temple




Radha-Madhava Temple is situated at Antardvipa in Nadia District, West Bengal. It features a 100-feet-high tower at the entrance. The temple deities are Lord Chaitanya at the center of the altar with his consorts, Vishnupriya and Lakshmipriya. There is an idol of a four-armed Adhoksaja Vishnu, discovered in 1934 by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur. The deities Radha and Madhava (another name of Lord Krishna) are worshipped on the left altar. On the right altar is the Panchatattva where Advaita Acharya, Lord Nityananda, Lord Chaitanya, Gadadhara, and Srivasa Thakur are worshipped. Lord Jagannath is placed in front of them. The idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Narasimha are at the back of the main hall along with Gaura-Gadadhara deities. The temple is about 2 km left from the famous Iskcon Chaitanya Temple. The nearest airport is at Dum Dum and the nearest railway stations are at Navadvipa and Krishnanagar.
