Rabitirtha is a center for Tagorean thoughts and culture, located in
Kolkata. Founded in 1946 by Dwijen Chowdhury and Suchitra Mitra, Rabitirtha is a premier music academy of Kolkata.
The academy offers ten year diploma course in Rabindra Sangeet (musical compositions of
Rabindranath Tagore) covering all facets of Rabindra Sangeet. This course is divided into junior and senior sections; the junior section is for students between 6 and 10 years and senior section is for the students above 11 years. They also conduct 5 year diploma course in Rabinda Nritya.
Sahana and Prangan in Mumbai and Gitayan in Siliguri are affiliated to Rabitirtha.
