Bhagavathi Temple is located at
Puthiyakavu near
Tripunithura, 11 km from
Ernakulam. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi.
Every year a seven-day festival held here attracts thousands of pilgrims. The third and fourth days of the festival are very auspicious for unmarried women. During these days, the women-folk gather at the temple to offer thalams. Thookkam and a fire works display mark the finale of this festival.
Puthiyakavu is well connected by regular bus services from Tripunithura and Ernakulam. Tripunithura Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
