Pushkar Tourist Village is located at
Pushkar, opposite to Pushkar Fair ground, about 13 km from
Ajmer. Run by Rajasthan Tourism Department, it offers accommodation in specially designed tents during the season of the fair. The village has deluxe tents, Swiss cottages and huts with attached western style toilets. Each tent is named after the famous dances of
Rajasthan.
The multi cuisine dining hall can accommodate 1,500 guests at a time. Other features are 24 hour security and room service, hot and cold water, fans and hot air blower and doctor on call. Cultural programs by famous artists of Rajasthan are conducted in the evenings.
To reach here the nearest airport is at Jaipur (145 km), from where one can take flights for Delhi and Mumbai.
Ajmer is the nearest railway station from where trains to the major destinations in Rajasthan and other parts of India are available.
