Purmandal Temple Complex is located at
Purmandal in
Jammu District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is on the banks of Devika River, which is considered as sacred as the
Ganges River. Purmandal, also referred to as 'Chhota Kashi', is about 40 km east of
Jammu.
Prime attraction of the temple complex is Purmandal Temple, which is dedicated to 'Umapati', Lord Shiva. There are a number of other temples built on rocks, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The significances of these temples are frescoes on their walls. A large number of people gather here on Shivratri and Chaitra Chaudashi.
Nearest airport is the Jammu Airport and railhead is the Jammu Tawi Railway Station.
