Punjai Thottakurichi, also spelt Punjai Thottakurishi, is a small settlement situated between Namakkal and Karur, in Karur District , Tamil Nadu. It spans over an area of about 12 sq km. Thottakurichi lies in the south-east, Punjaipugalur in the south-west and Manappalli in the north-east. The town lies on the banks of River Cauvery. Rock Fort at Namakkal, Sri Kalyanapasupatheeswarar Temple, Pasupatheeswarar Temple and Government Museum at Karur, Maha Lakshmi Amman Temple at Krishanarayapuram and Kalyana Venkattaramasami Temple at Thanthoni are tourist attractions nearby.
