Princep Ghat is a heritage building located close to
Vidyasagar Setu in
Kolkata,
West Bengal. It was built in 1843 to commemorate Sir James Princep, a renowned researcher and former secretary of the Asiatic Society.
Located on the banks of the Ganga, Princep Ghat draws a large number of tourists. The Kolkata Port trust and Kolkata Municipal Corporation jointly preserve this beautiful building. The famous Chandpal Ghat is the nearby attraction.
