Prayaga Ghat, formerly known as Prayaga Teerth, is reminiscent of Prayag (
Allahabad), one of the mythological sites in the country.
This ghat is highly revered and is believed that doing rituals and taking bath here have the same significance as those at Prayag. A highlight is the shrine of Prayagesvara.
During the Hindu month of Magha (January-February), the devotees throng here for holy dip.
