Potangi and Chandragiri are the highest mountain ranges in
Orissa, with the average height varying from 900 to 1,350 m.
The first five highest peaks in the Eastern Ghats are in this ranges. These mountains separate the Nagavale and the Sabari basins and they are highly dissected. Terrace cultivation is practiced in the valleys. The important peaks are Deomali (1672 m), Sinkaram (1620 m), Golikoda (1617 m) and Yendrika (1582 m).
