Poorna Express

Poorna Express runs between Pune Junction Railway Station and Ernakulam Junction Railway Station. (‘Poorna’ is the old name for the Periyar River.) The train covers a distance of 1,432 km and takes two days for the journey. Major cities on the way are Karad, Belgaum, Karwar, Udupi, Kannur, Kozhikode and Thrissur.

Train number 1097: Pune to Ernakulam, leaves Pune at 23:10 hrs on Saturdays.
Train number 1098: Ernakulam to Pune, leaves Ernakulam at 23:00 hrs on Mondays.
