Pomsohmen is a small village near
Cherrapunji in
East Khasi Hills District of
Meghalaya. It is about 52 km from
Shillong.
The village is famous for two crematoriums, built of fine stone masonries and measuring about 20 ft in length, 12 ft in breadth and 8 ft in height. These crematoriums were built around 1856.
