Phe

Phe, a town in Kargil District, is at an altitude of 14,425 ft above sea level. It is about 215 km from Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir.

Phe is around 4 km north-east of Ating and 18 km south of Rulagung. Manda lies to the west of Phe. Karsha Monastery and Zongkhul Monastery are some of the nearby attractions. Phe is a comfortable base for trekkers and mountaineers.

Phe can be easily reached from Zongkhul, Kishtwar and Karsha. It can also be accessed from Kargil and Leh.Jammu Tawi Railway Station, managed by the Northern Railways, serves Phe.
