Phawngpui National Park is located in the vicinity of
Phawngpui peak in
Chhimtuipui District of
Mizoram.
It spans over an area of 50 sq km and is rich in flora and fauna. The park is home to tigers, sambar deer, hoolock gibbon, barking deer, bears, serow, leopard, kaleej pheasant, common langur, rhesus macaque, stump tailed macaque and various species of birds.
The sanctuary is around 300 km from Aizawl and is near to the Indo-Burma border.
