Petlad

Petlad is located in Anand District of Gujarat. It is around 30 km south-west of Anand.

Prahlad, a great devotee of Lord Vishnu and the son of Demon King Hiranyakashipu, is believed to have lived here and hence the place was earlier known as Prahladpur. A step-well and the Pandav Talav (lake) are the main attractions here.

Vadodara Airport and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport are the nearest airports. Petlad Railway Station is on the Anand – Khambhat rail route.
