Perungalur

Perungalur is a town in Pudukkottai District of Tamil Nadu. It lies on the Pudukkottai-Thanjavur State Highway, at about 17 km from Pudukkottai. Kiranur, an important business center and a junction on the Pudukkottai–Tiruchirappalli Road, is 19 km from Perungalur. The town of Alangudi is 14 km south. An ancient Shiva Temple and a ruined Ayyappa Temple can be visited at Adhanakkottai, 8 km north. Other interesting places in the neighborhood include Kudumianmalai, Narthamalai, Sittanavasal, Thirumayam and Viralimalai. Tiruchirapalli Airport, 31 km north, is the nearest airport. Pudukkottai Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
