Perch Dam is located about 10 km north-west of
Chandigarh city center. The dam is 22 m high, 284 m long and 146 m wide. The reservoir of the dam covers an area of about 0.35 sq km.
Surrounded by Shivaliks, the dam and the surroundings are a happy hunting ground of nature loving public. The area also attracts a number of migratory birds. Guga Mari Temple is another interest nearby.
The dam can be reached via Naya Gaon village or through the Khuda Lahora and Khuda Jassu dividing road.
