Peraiyur Village is located in

Naganathaswami Temple, well known for Naga worship, attracts a large number of devotees. For more than a century, barren women has been visiting the temple and installing idols of Nagas. The stone idols of Nagas, which have been accumulating over a long period, offer a breathtaking view.
Peraiyur is on the southern bank of Vellar River. The place is also noted for hand-fans fashioned out of Palmyra fronds by the people of the Isai-vellala and Melakarar community.
