People’s Museum is a multi-purpose museum, located in
Kakching of
Manipur.
It showcases an array of items such as books, pottery, basketry, wooden seat with decorative designs, musical instruments, war and hunting appliances and fossils. A distinct display is the traditional costumes of kings and tribal chiefs.
A library is attached to the museum.
During summer, the museum is open from 13:30 to 17:00 hrs and during winter from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs.
