Pavan Khind, 30 m high, is a historic gorge situated near
Panhala in
Kolhapur District. It is the spot where Baji Prabhu (
Chhatrapati Shivaji’s general) trapped the
Mughals.
The spot becomes awe inspiring during monsoons, as four valleys converge into the gorge during this period.
