Pavalavannan Vishnu Temple is located at Tirupavalavannam in
Kanchipuram District. The presiding deity of the temple is
Lord Vishnu in the form of Pavalavannan in a standing pose, facing the west. The temple was renovated in the 19th century. Covering an area of two acres, it has a five tiered
Rajagopuram and a prakaram. There is a hall which is decorated with mirrors in all its sides. Separate shrines for Aandaal, the Alwars and the Acharyas are also inside the temple premises. Tirumangaialwar has glorified this Vaishnava sthala with his Pasurams. The main festivals held here are Vaikuntha Ekadasi in
Margazhi (mid December - mid January) and Pavitrotsavam in the month of Pankuni (mid March - mid April). The Pachaivannar temple situated nearby.
