Parayan Thullal is a traditional dance of
Kerala. It is the slowest in tempo, with slow graceful elegant steps and movements. The dance usually stands erect and explains the meaning of the songs by hand gestures. The make-up of the dancer is simple except for an ornamental headgear and a red flowery clothe round his waist. The dancer in Parayan Thullal smears the body with charcoal paste.
