Parai is a picturesque village located near
Utrala in Chamba District. It lies at an altitude of about 2,390 m above sea level, on the Baijnath - Jalsu Pass trek route in Chamba Valley. Parai offers fascinating views of the Pir Panjal and the Dhauladhar mountain ranges. It is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available. Nearby tourist destinations are Utrala, Chamba, Dharamsala, Deol, Mcleodganj and Holi.
