Papparsalli is a chill zone located in the outskirts of the
Kumaon region, about 4 km from
Almora. This destination is popularly referred as Cranks Ridge by the locals. It is an enchanting spot with a large number of fragrant pine trees.
Papparsalli attracts a large number of off-beat tourists who like to spend long hours in the lap of nature.
Kasar Devi Temple is easily accessible from here. This place has been a favorite spot for numerous writers and artists including Timothy Leary, the father of the hippy movement. Many hippies used to visit this region during the hippie hey days and a few of them have settled here. Tourists are advised to visit Papparsalli from September to December.
