Panpatha Sanctuary




Panpatha Sanctuary, adjoining the Bandhavgarh National Park, was established in 1983 in Umaria District of Madhya Pradesh. It occupies an area of about 245 sq km.

Chital, sambar deer, chinkara, tiger, panthers, jackal, wild dog, blue bull, porcupine, bear and various species of birds are the inhabitants found here.

The best season to visit is November to June.

Civil Airport Khajuraho is the nearest airport and Umaria Railway Station serves as the nearest railhead.
