Set up by the Archaeological Survey of India, Panipat Museum is located at the Canal Rest House in Binjhol, 5 km from
Panipat. The museum has several galleries displaying various artifacts, which provide information about archaeology, history, art and crafts of
Haryana.
Exquisite of the items on display include antiquities, inscriptions, arms and armors, documents, jewellery, art and craft objects, maps, write-ups, photographs and slides. Besides, the museum houses a large number of status, pottery and coins, which were collected from the excavated sites in Haryana.
Panipat is 92 km north of New Delhi. Panipat Junction Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
