Pangode Sree Kavil Bhagavathy Temple

Sree Kavil Bhagavathy Temple is a famous shrine located between Pangode and Edapazhanji in Thiruvananthapuram. The presiding deity of the temple is Kavil Bhagavathy, an incarnation of goddess Durga.

This temple is also home to the sub deities of Lord Ganesh, Nagaraja and Mantramoorti. The main attraction at the temple is the gigantic Shivling, standing in the middle of a grove. Devotees are allowed to perform abhishek directly on the shivling, which is a rare feature in the temples of Kerala. Kavil Bhagavathy temple also boasts one of the tallest gopurams, compared to other temples in the state.

The annual festival celebrated in the months of March - April is the largest crowd pulling event at Pangode.

Trivandrum International Airport (7 km) and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station (4 km) are the nearby major access points.
