Pallipuram is a village located in
Vypeen Island,
Kochi,
Kerala. The ancient Pallippuram Fort built by the Portuguese in 1503, is a constant source of attraction for the historians and pilgrims.
The Forane church of Lady of Snow, built in Portuguese style in 1577, is an important pilgrim center of the Christians. Lakshminarayana Raghupati Temple is also worth visiting. Cherai is a nearby tourist destination.
By road, many buses ply from Vypeen to Pallipuram. Vypeen is connected by ferry with
Fort Kochi and Ernakulam. This place is often called North Pallipuram since there is another Pallipuram towards the south of Kochi near Cherthala.
