Pallava Temple




Pallava Temple is located in the rock fort, Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu. There are many inscriptions of Mahendravarma Pallavan along with that of the Cholas, the Vijayanagar rulers and the Nayaks of Madurai. The two storied building has a Chittira Mandapam which has a granite chain with nine loops. The main festival of the temple is the Brahmotsavam in Chittirai month. Also celebrated are the Aadi Pooram and the float festival in Panguni month.
