Pali District of
Rajasthan has its boundaries from
Ajmer District in the south-west to
Sirohi District and
Nagaur District in the north-east. It covers a total area of 12,387 sq km with a population of around 2 million.
Pali city, the district headquarters, is situated at 212 m above sea level.
The Luni River is the main river with four tributaries namely Lilri, Sukri, Bandi, and Jawal. The annual rainfall is 49 cm. Pali is famous for its textile industries. Major crops are maize, jowar, rice, bajra, paddy, wheat, barley, gram, and groundnut.
The major tourist destinations are Sojat Fort, Jawai Dam, Korta Teerth, Nana Teerth, Parshuram Mahadev Temple, Sri Bangur Government Museum, Somnath Mandir, Desuri and Jadan Aashram.
