Palar is a small village in
Srinagar District of
Jammu and Kashmir. Located at a height of 5,216 ft, it is an ideal base for the adventure enthusiasts who are on their trail to the Great
Himalayas. Palar is surrounded by
Kathwar in the west,
Dafpur in the north,
Razawan in the east and
Badgam in the south. The region offers many short treks and hikes to upland villages.
Palar can be approached from Magam and Srinagar (about 12 km south-east).
