An ethnic
Kerala delicacy, Palappam is a very traditional dish prepared especially by the Christian families of Kerala. Palappam is made from a batter formed by grinding rice and coconut milk. This batter is cooked in a frying pan called Palappa Chatti. The thick soft center of each Palappam thins out to form a crisp and thin outer border, making it tasty as well as distinct. It has a hint of sweetness in it and goes well with any vegetarian or non-vegetarian dish. Palappam is normally served with mutton stew, chicken roast, and pork.
