Padi Kavali Maha Dwara

Padi Kavali Maha Dwara, the outer gopuram, is an interesting aspect of Sri Ventkateswara Temple in Tirupati. Standing on a quadrangular base, it displays the architectural style of the later Chola period. It contains 13th century inscriptions. Besides, numerous stucco figures of Vaishnava gods such as Hanuman, Kevale Narasimha and Lakshmi Narasimha are seen on the gopuram.
