Padal is situated around 6 km north of Mangwal, in
Kangra District.
The town is around 70 km south-east of
Dharamsala, the district headquarters and a prime tourist destination. Ponth, Anur and
Jawali are the neighboring places.
Main attraction near Padal is Bathu ki Larhi, a cluster of antique temples which remain dipped in water for eight months and are visible to the human eye only from March to June. Nagrota Suriyan, an ideal destination for bird watchers, is nearby. Kangra Fort and Pong Dam are other attractions in the neighborhood.
