Pachmarhi Shivratri Mela Festival




Pachmarhi Shivratri Mela Festival is held at Mahadev Temple in Pachmarhi, a hill resort situated 195 km from Bhopal. This festival celebrates the marriage of Lord Shiva

with Goddess Parvati. It is observed during the months of February-March. The devotees attending this festival carry tridents or trishul, a weapon associated with Lord Shiva. The tridents are fixed on the top of the Chauragarh hill, which is near the temple.
