PSG Polytechnic is located in the city of
Coimbatore, in
Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1939 and is one of the oldest polytechnic institutions in India.
Diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Applications and Computer Technology, Computer Networking, Apparel Technology, and Foundry Technology are offered. A postgraduate diploma in Computer Application is also available. Besides the academics, physical education is also provided. The continuing education cell of the college offers certificated courses approved by the government of Tamil Nadu.
The campus houses a nodal center that provides consultancy services and a placement cell for providing job opportunities for the final year students. Hostel facility with amenities including library, medical service, indoor courts, TV halls, and internet facility are also provided.
