The Oval Valley is in
Jammu and Kashmir. The valley is longitudinal and about 1700 m above the sea level. Round the valley, there is a high wall of mountains. Brahmulla is the only outlet of the valley, where the
Jhelum River flows out. In the north of the valley there are many volcanic formations. There are karewa formations, which are lake laid clays and shales, in the south and west of the valley.
