Our Lady Angels Church, an ancient church, is the principal worship place of Catholics in Karaikal, Pondicherry. It was built in 1740, and rebuilt in 1828.
The major draw is the Tettaravu Madha Festival, which is celebrated on 15 August every year. This festival begins with the flag hoisting ceremony. On the tenth day of the festival, the statue of the blessed virgin is placed on a decorated car, and is carried along the main streets surrounding the church.
