Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, established in 1962, is located in
Bhubaneswar.
It has about eight constituent colleges; six located at the main campus, namely, College of Agriculture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Home Science, Engineering and Technology, and Basic sciences and Humanities. The College of Fisheries at Rangeilunda (Ganjam District) and College of Agriculture at
Chiplima (Sambalpur) offer Bachelor’s degree courses in all the faculties. Postgraduate courses are offered in 11 disciplines of agriculture, 14 in veterinary science, two in agricultural engineering and two disciplines at the Centre for Postgraduate Study. Ph D degree is offered in 10 disciplines in agriculture, three disciplines in veterinary science, and one in fishery science.
The university has about 10 regional research and technology transfer stations/sub-stations.
