Onges survive in
Little Andaman, which is the southern-most island in the Andamans. They belong to the Negrito racial stock and have been demoted to the Dugong Creek and South Bay of Little Andaman Island. Onges are the semi-nomadic tribes who depend on the food provided by nature. The administration has afforded pucca hut type houses, food, clothes, and medicines to the Onges. The Onges eat turtle, fish, roots and jack fruits. They concentrate on arts and crafts and also make canoes. There is a primary school at Dugong Creek settlement for Onges.
